GENOVA 2023

For 63 years, the Genoa International Boat Show, organised by Confindustria Nautica, the Italian Marine Industry Association that represents the country’s entire yachting industry, has acted as an essential meeting point for the world of international yachting. The 63rd edition of the Genoa Boat Show –scheduled to take place in the historic maritime city from 21st to 26th September this year –sold out as early as June. In fact, all major international yachting brands will be taking part, confirming the event's strategic role as a unique business platform on a truly global scale

The claim of this year’s edition is "Sea More", conceived to underline the venue’s incredible transformation based on the visionary design penned by renowned architect Renzo Piano. The renewed location will give the Boat Show brand new exhibition spaces capable of expanding the breadth and depth of what can be showcased at such a global event. The Genoa International Boat Show is an international stage dedicated to the peak of excellence in international yachting,an achievement that is becoming increasingly consistent and that has been made possible by constant dialogue and close partnership with all institutions involved. The city of Genoa is evolving at an exceptional rate, becoming more and more open to the world as it commits to its concrete vision of a sustainable future.

The creation of the new Eastern Waterfront is the best example of this and would have been unthinkable had it not been for a thriving context in which the public and private sectors cooperate to ensure the territory, devoted to ports, yachting and tourism,is given every opportunity to develop and experience economic growth. Construction on the new Waterfront will end in 2024, but even as early as this edition the new strategic areas constructed for the Boat Show will be fully usable.

The recent opening of navigable canals, the construction of the spectacular island that frames the iconic Blue Pavilion, and the new display docks already allow exhibitors to take advantage of 150 more berths (a number that will reach 250 once fully operational) increasing in overall exhibition space of between 13%and 15%. So much of the new design is already a reality, with more sea returning to the Genoa Boat Show than ever before.

The five product segments -Yachtsand Superyachts, Sailing World, Boating Discovery, Tech Trade, and Living the Sea –perfectly complement one another thanks to the new layout, now providing a complete and innovative experience that is both engaging and unique. The Genoa International Boat Show, however,is more than just an exhibition, it is an expression of the Italian Marine Industry’s commitments to the sector. A place to learn and interact with important members of Government and Institutions; a source for learning and training with more than 120 workshops, seminars, and presentations dealing with innovation, work opportunities, and the technologyof today and tomorrow; a space where the very best of the Made in Italy brand flows together to create a unique environment capable of developing and enhancing key relationships. Sustainability, innovation, and design will be the central themes of the fourth edition of the

Design Innovation Award, established by the Italian Marine Industry Association Confindustria Nautica and the company I Saloni Nautici in 2020, with the aim of promoting the excellence of the yachting industry exhibited at the Genoa International Boat Show.

The award ceremony for the winners of the 10 competing categories, selected by an international jury composed of design experts representatives of the spheres of academia and manufacturing, and industry journalists, will take place on Friday 22nd September, during a dedicated evening at the Palazzo della Borsa in Genoa. As part of the Forum2023 conference schedule, the Genoa Boat Show will also host the second edition of the World Yachting Sustainability Forum, held in partnership with IBI and McKinsey and Company in June this year, as part of the Italian Marine Industry Association’s SATEC 2023 Convention.

The Genoa International Boat Show confirms its role as an essential meeting point for the yachting community, committing to its mission to strengthen international communication and business development with the renewed partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency, who will be inviting buyers and journalists from a total of 35 countries and 5 Continents to Genoa to experience the event.A multi-specialized platform capable of meeting the expectations of every visitor, whether an industry professional or client, held in a venuet hat is projected into the future and designed to provide a truly unique experience
