The 65^th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show. For six days, , the Genoa International Boat Show will be the capital of Italian and global recreational boating, championing its entire prestigious industrial supply chain. With over 1,000 boats on display, 23 new shipyards, exhibitors from 45 countries, 123 new products and 96 premieres, the Genoa Boat Show confirms its status as one of the three most important boating industry events in the world.

Highlighting the importance of the event, for the first time in 65 editions, the Genoa International Show opened with a greeting from a political representative from the United States, the Secretary of Transportation of the State of Florida, Jared Perdue, who expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the Genoa Boat Show for the invitation and reiterated the honour and commitment to continue strengthening the partnership that exists with Italy and Genoa.

THE WORLD YACHTING SUSTAINABILITY FORUM

Sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness are today’s three defining areas in which the business world is currently called upon to provide tangible solutions.The fourth edition of the World Yachting Sustainability Forum took place at the show

With over 120 delegates present in the hall, sustainability became the focal point of a lively programme that combined exclusive insights from the European Commission, new consumer research, and an industry debate on the future of boating.

The central moment of the Forum was the panel “Navigating Sustainability: Redesigning Boating for the Consumer, the Industry, and the Planet”, moderated by Ed Slack. Industry leaders – Giordano Pellacano (Ferretti Group), Erik Stromberg (Beneteau), Romain Motteau (Fountaine Pajot), Alessandro Rossi (Azimut|Benetti) and designer Dan Lenard (Nuvolari Lenard) – offered various reflections on where the boating industry is today and where it should be heading.

DESIGN INNOVATION AWARD , WINNERS AND MOTIVATIONS

Art and design are inseparable in Genoa. Within the stunning setting of the Palazzo Ducale, the cultural epicentre of the Ligurian capital, the prizes for the sixth edition of the Design Innovation Award, the prestigious international prize promoted by the Italian Marine Industry Association and the Genoa International Boat Show , were handed to this year’s industry-defining winners. The Design Innovation Award rewards excellence, research, and innovation throughout the boating sector worldwide, and is the most accurate expression of the so-called “Bello e Ben Fatto” (Beautiful and Well-made) a concept that flies the same Made in Italy flag that accompanies a national industry that is famous worldwide
