After a successful debut this winter at Boot Dusseldorf, Dario Messina 's latest creation is ready to win over owners and enthusiasts who will take part in the French event that opens the new boating season.
NY40 Veloce once again highlights the centrality of the owner's well-being in Nerea Yacht's projects. An all-round well-being that, in this latest expression of the shipyard from the Marche region, is also reflected in the implementation of technical solutions aimed at improving performance and style to satisfy the most refined tastes. But that's not all. Thanks to the use of Ecopur, NY40 Veloce it was soon dubbed, by industry experts, as the boat "that breathes."
Ecopur is a natural, technological and eco-sustainable resin that enables air purification. A technology developed by Oltremateria and which was awarded the 1st National Innovation Award 2023 by Quirinale in the Industry and Services Italian Design category. Nerea Yacht studied its applicability for the first time in the nautical sector and used it for the interior linings of the new NY40 Veloce. In this way, Ecopur acts as an air purification system through the abatement of viral and bacterial charges, improves and refreshes the quality of rooms and surfaces, without consuming energy and avoiding the use of solvents. A real "lung" that allows the boat to "breathe" and ensure environmentally sustainable life on board in safe environments. A solution that confirms Dario Messina, founder of Nerea Yacht, among the most eclectic and innovative players in the nautical sector in recent years.
In detail, the sporty and dynamic soul of NY40 Outboard finds its maximum expression in the external lines and navigation, thanks to the "V" hull, designed by Zuccheri Yacht Design and the 3 Mercury V10 400hp AMS DS XL engines that allow to reach an exciting speed of 48 knots. On the deck, personalized by a special teak arranged in a fishbone pattern, the view is immediately captivated by the presence of the large aft sundeck, covered by a woven design yarn, seamless, highly resistant and sustainable, because it is made from recycled plastic.
The matte dark gray hull paint, which identifies this new model as "?????? Grey" (from the Greek Magnet), is matched with bronze-colored wrapping strips, adding a touch of sophistication to the engine shell, external window frames, and waterline. On the outside, the yacht features important custom elements such as the leather-covered helm station, Power Wings located behind the helm that offer complete control of the vessel, from home automation to command features, including Car Lights, which lend automotive-inspired appeal. For the first time, the galley cabinet has teak-lined doors, while the raised windshield offers more coverage from the wind while sailing. Another special feature is Besenzoni's multifunctional ladder-passerelle, which provides a smooth transition from the dock to the descent into the sea.
Turning to the interior, below deck the forward cabin features a spacious dinette, a center table with movement that can be lowered to become the base for storing additional cushions and transforming the area into a sleeping area, and two storage cabinets, one of which is equipped with a 50" TV. The aft cabin, on the other hand, features two spacious and comfortable single beds, carpeted floor and bathroom. All interiors, starting with the steps to the cabins, walls, curtain storage, coffee table and bathroom, are clad in Ecomalta, to which Ecopur resin is applied . Nerea Yacht is once again at the forefront of innovation, setting new standards for environmentally sustainable yachting experiences.
The colors of both interior and exterior fabrics and upholstery are warm shades ranging from sand, caramel, bronze, and hazelnut. The overall length of 12.29 meters and the beam of 4 meters give NY40 great livability and allow it to accommodate 10 to 12 people.
